Family, Country Living, Simple Pleasures at their Best – that is what Caladdi is all about. We offer you a home-away-from-home experience, our warm hospitality and a very relaxed and comfortable stay with us.
We have 7 elegant and very comfortable rooms to choose from, all of which have quality linen and dual control electric blankets, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers.
We’ve travelled from the Drakensberg (5 star venue) to Ballito (5 star venue) to the bush (another 5 star venue). Caladdi was meant to be a mere stop over in the Midlands. But what a find! This is hospitality as you can only dream of: from the homely rooms to the phenomenally comfy beds, the tranquil setting, the love of detail, the cleanliness, the delicious breakfasts… We had the warmest welcome and felt attended to with real loving care (-: Nova and Wayne clearly found the thing in life that they really want to do with heart and soul, our stay could have not been any better, in any respect! I think this is a place where you can truly rest and recover. However, being in the middle of the Midlands Meander it’s only a hop and a skip to lovely outings.
From all the venues we stayed during this holiday this is the one we will definitely be back, and often!
Stayed 1 night and wished it could have been for longer. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived until we left. Every detail was taken care of to make us feel comfortable and enjoy our time. The cappuccino's were top class. The breakfast on Sunday morning was one of the best I have ever had anywhere, what a great way to cap off a fantastic stay. Will be back for a longer stay without doubt.
An amazing place to stay. Apart from the food and rooms being outstanding, it’s the people who run Caladdi, starting with the owners, Nova and Wayne, who make it so special, and well worth visiting again, and again, and again.
We stayed at a friend’s self catering venue for a wedding and did not want to prepare our own breakfast. Our host kindly booked us in to Caladdi for breakfast. Not only is this a beautiful venue and peaceful, they serve fantastic breakfasts with fresh homemade bread, scones and Crumpets. Relishes and jams are home made too or sourced locally from the amazing Midlands Meander. please note you cannot walk in as this is a B&B so you have to book.
Visited this establishment for brunch on the recommendation from a friend in NZ. Did not stay but there is a bakery & coffee shop on premises.
The place is beautiful , service was great & brunch was tasteful & artfully plated!
Definitely worth visit!
Unfortunately we were unable to secure accommodation for two nights. over a very busy period However we were able to have breakfast on Sunday morning which was really outstanding Started with various fruit dishes followed by scones and crumpets The main course was either poached or scrambled eggs with bacon and toast Finished breakfast with a great cappuccino.Situated in a lovely setting with several horses in the field near by A great way to start a day with a great breakfast and wonderful hosts
Caladdi Bed & Breakfast is fantastic! We enjoyed the stay, the Wonderful breakfast, the fantastic service and the wonderful hospitality! We will Highly recommend Caladdi to anybody visiting this area!
We’ve been to Caladdi before and will certainly be returning again!
This really is a special place. Nova and Wayne are impeccable hosts and really do go the proverbial extra mile. Their warmth and generosity of spirit really is lovely. That, combined with comfy beds, great breakfasts, brilliant cappuccinos and super location certainly make Caladdi a stand out option.
Highly recommended.
A return visit to Caladdi emphasized that our original delight in the venue was well justified. We were welcomed like old friends and the standard of the rooms (we took friends with this time) and the breakfast were as, or even better, than we remembered! Nova and Wayne go out of their way to make you comfortable and we felt like we were their favourite guests! Highly, HIGHLY recommend!
Clean, neat and very comfortable.
The owners are hands on, friendly and welcoming.
Food made with real love.
We didn't stay there but our friends that did said it was amazing.
Definitely a place to stay if your visiting the Natal Midlands
